How it Works

Pick a class from our calendar, pay the fee, and you’ll be registered on Zoom (the video communications platform we use for our classes.)  Make certain that you download the ZOOM application onto your device the first time you take a class. To access this free resource: https://zoom.us

After that we’ll send you and email with the recipe, ingredient list, cooking instructions and a list of equipment you’ll need in your kitchen in order to participate. Then, shop for the ingredients.

On the date of the class, have the ingredients and kitchen equipment ready.  Clean and chop the items specifically as directed in the ingredient list. Set up your laptop, tablet or phone in the kitchen near your workspace and turn on the video and sound.  Grab your favorite beverage, then sign into the class using the Zoom access code, and we cook together.  I provide step-by-step instructions.  You’ll be able to follow along by watching, listening, cooking and asking questions directly to your host, Debbie J. Elder.

At the end of the class, you’ll have learned a new recipe, met some fun cooking friends and get to enjoy the flavorful dish you prepared.

Each class is approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours in length.  Sometimes, our specialty and baking classes are longer. If it is longer than 1 1/2 hours, the projected time will be noted on the online calendar.

Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for individual cooks, friends, couples and families to cook together, meet others who enjoy cooking, and learn new recipes, tips and techniques in the kitchen.
